Maroon Dam is situated on Burnett Creek and supplies water for irrigation as part of the Logan River supply scheme. Completed in 1974, Maroon Dam allows irrigation along Burnett Creek and the Logan River for about 130 kilometres downstream. Nearby Mount Maroon is part of the McPherson Range.
